Weapon: Excalibur Destruction (Volume 3), Ascalon (shared with Issei), Ex-Durandal Xenovia Quarta is a character from the anime High School DxD. She first appears in Volume 3 alongside Irina, under orders from the Church, to recover the three stolen Excalibur swords. She and Irina form a temporary alliance with Issei, Koneko, Yuuto and Saji, in which they recover the stolen Excalibur fragments but allow Yuuto to destroy one of them. During the battle against Freed Sellzen and Valper Galilei, she reveals herself to be the bearer of Durandal, and quickly reverses the course of the battle by destroying the fused Excalibur and slaying Freed. After the battle against the leader of the Fallen Angels, Kokabiel, she becomes a Devil under the direction of Rias after learning of God's death. When Xenovia was first introduced, she was described as calm and serious in demeanor, putting her mission first and speaking only when necessary. She also prefers not to get involved in problems that don't concern her. Although she is a faithful member of the Church, her beliefs are flexible enough for her to accept help from a Dragon, such as receiving a free meal (after Irina spends all their money on a fake painting of a Saint), and to want not only to accomplish her mission, but to survive afterwards. After Volume 3, she becomes very close to Asia, touched by her kindness and apologizing for calling her a witch on their previous encounter. Like Asia, as someone raised in the Church, she lacks knowledge of what it's like to be a normal person, as evidenced by the fact that she brought a box of condoms to school. As a Knight, Xenovia is able to move at superhuman speed, which, combined with Durandal's destructive powers, makes her a formidable fighter. She also has the ability to tap into Durandal's sacred aura with other swords, as she does with Issei's Ascalon (Issei allows her to use it because he's not a good swordsman and because she can't fully control Durandal)
