Wingman hentai, a legendary series not to be forgotten

Propelled onto our screens thanks to the "Club Dorothée" of the late '80s, Wingman stands out as one of the nuggets of Japanese animation from that era. The series, which is 100% cartoonishly funny shōnen, contains a hint of sex appeal. You may not remember this series, but mentioning Wingman certainly revives sweet, nostalgic memories. You'd be surprised to know that the hentai version of Wingman remains relevant and popular among dedicated fansites. Here, I address this nostalgic but tantalizing subject, highlighting its extraordinary heroines. It's unfortunate that the series was so brief without a sequel, as it would no doubt be well received today.

So what exactly is Wingman? The story revolves around teenager David Duchemin (Kenta Hirono in the original version), a sentai superhero enthusiast. Do sentai like X-or, Spielvan, Captain Sheidder and Bioman ring a bell? David dreams of being one, and realizes this dream by making his own costume and proclaiming himself Wingman, trying to instill moral principles in his school friends. Unfortunately, his efforts are often met with ridicule. One day, however, while he's asleep, a seductive young girl from another dimension appears in his room. To add to the mystery, she lands on top of him! Élise Lerêve (VO: Aoi Yume) is intrigued by David and feels a strong bond with him. She entrusts him with a magical book, "The Book of Dreams", which transforms David into a true superhero and helps him save his country.

All this is presented with a dose of humor in the form of naughty caricatures, thanks in particular to Wingman's clumsy behavior. The story also provides an opportunity to undress the series' heroines. Wingman is best known for Élise Lerêve, who often finds herself in a state of undress, and doesn't hesitate to show off her attributes. Remember this!

In a shōnen, the idea is to satisfy the expectations of young men with bubbling hormones, so it's not uncommon to see a little skin. In Wingman hentai, we all remember Elise in combat gear - or should I say underwear - which had the annoying habit of tearing easily, giving us a clear view of her. Come on, we all did it - withdraw our gaze when her breasts were exposed. It was frustrating, however, that it was impossible to see more, especially with Club Dorothée's censorship... But no more frustration here, as we have a hentai version of Elise Lerêve. Now we can see her in all her glory, indulging in intimate acts. Unfortunately, a fellatio scene with David is missing.

Élise wasn't the only female heroine in the series, but she was undoubtedly the most popular, thanks to her habit of showing her breasts. On many of the sites that talk about the series, the consensus is unanimous: Wingman was great, and it's a shame it's not broadcast these days. Let's hope that by reviving the title with its hentai version, the author might be tempted to release a sequel - wouldn't that be nice?
